  • Hollow components which may corrode internally (such as suspension arms).
  • The accuracy of the mileage reading.
The service does not provide any fault diagnosis or include any dismantling of the vehicle or any of its components, nor does it amount to a guarantee against any failure or serviceability of the vehicle in the future, indication of any faults which might have become apparent had the vehicle been driven in excess of the speed reached or the distance travelled during any road test carried out during this inspection, give any guarantee that all or any of the components of the vehicle are original components or replacement components, which have been manufactured by the manufacturer of the vehicle.

We cannot be held responsible for any latent defects if we cannot see them or they are not apparent during the inspection. In particular please note that vehicles over 5 years old or have a high mileage or which have been subjected to abnormal use may have latent defects. Whilst such defects may in some circumstances give rise to a claim against the vehicle supplier, they fall outside the scope of our reports and our reports are provided to, and accepted by our customers on this basis.

It is your responsibility to ensure proper provision is made, including obtaining any necessary permission, for our inspection to be carried out on garage premises or on an off-road site with adequate level hard standing. The engineers will need enough space to walk round the vehicle and fully open all the doors. There must also be legal parking facilities for our engineer's vehicle.

A road test is carried out in the immediate area of the vehicle inspection. If, due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, a road test cannot be carried out at the time of the inspection the original fee shall remain fully payable and an additional fee will be payable for any subsequent road test we are asked to undertake. We are not obliged to carry out a road test if the vehicle does not have a valid MOT or if the vehicle is deemed to be unsafe or unroadworthy. We have a duty of care to inform the vendor of any defects that would render the vehicle unroadworthy.

All fee's and charges must be paid by credit/debit card/cheque at the time of the inspection taking place. We also reserve the right to charge an abortive charge of the full fee if, due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, we are unable to carry out the vehicle inspection on arrival at the location.

If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the date of the arranged inspection we reserve the right to charge the full fee.

In the event of dissatisfaction please contact us on 01268 773580 within 15 days of the date of the inspection. We must be given the first opportunity to re-inspect the vehicle/component at our own expense PRIOR to any rectification/repairs being carried out. We will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for the cost of any repairs carried out without our previous agreement in writing. Should emergency repairs be required to make a vehicle safe then you must ensure that a complaint is made to us immediately afterwards and that any faulty or worn parts which may have needed to be replaced are retained for future re-examination by us.

Force Majeure- We are not responsible for any loss, damages, costs, claims or expenses which you may incur as a result of our delay in or failure to perform our obligations where such delay is due to any causes beyond our control. Amongst others this includes: fire, flood, earthquake, accident, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, rationing, strikes, acts of Government and acts of God.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and any claim will be settled accordingly.
